Terms of use
Version 2026-10-26
WhyKite helps you choose what your kids watch and play on your TV. These terms are the deal between you and us.
Your account
- The account is for a parent or guardian, 18 or older.
- It belongs to your mobile number. Keep your phone and your PIN to yourself: with them, anyone can change your family's settings.
- The details you add, your kids' included, should be true, and yours to give.
What WhyKite does, and doesn't
- WhyKite asks for your PIN before any app you haven't allowed opens. It offers Pip's activities, and videos from the channels and lists that WhyKite and you choose.
- WhyKite checks every video and activity before your kids see it, but no check is perfect. Stay involved in what your kids watch, and tell us when something gets through.
- The lock depends on the TV. It can be turned off on the TV, and some TVs have other ways around it. Your TV's page here shows when its lock is off.
Videos
- The videos are on YouTube, and play inside WhyKite in YouTube's embedded player (youtube-nocookie.com). By watching them with WhyKite, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service.
- WhyKite never sells videos. They belong to their creators.
Your plan
- WhyKite costs ₹149 a month or ₹1,199 a year.
- The first 5 days from linking your first TV are free. Your first charge comes when they end.
- You pay by UPI AutoPay: you approve a mandate in your UPI app, and it pays each month or year until you cancel. Razorpay, our payment processor, runs the checkout and the mandate. To check the mandate, Razorpay may take ₹5 and give it back.
- Cancel any time, in Account or in your UPI app. Nothing more is charged after that.
- A month or year that has started isn't refunded. It stays paid until it ends.
- If a payment doesn't go through, everything keeps working for 7 days. Then Pip and the stories pause until a payment goes through. The lock and the videos keep working all along.
- Deleting your account cancels your plan first.
- How cancelling, refunds and delivery work: Cancellation, refunds and delivery.
Fair use
- Use WhyKite for your own family.
- Don't try to get around its checks, overload it, or reach another family's data.
Ending
- You can delete your account at any time, in Account.
- We may close an account that breaks these terms. We'll tell you first, unless the law says we can't.
Changes, law and contact
